I am familiar with counter strike and you don’t have to show me it

It is more balanced than BF. One problem is the way BF handles spawning. You can’t spawn camp in CS, but it has become a way of life in BF. I also think there is LESS teamwork in BF than CS. In BF guys are spawning all over the place and just running at the first adversary command point around. There is hardly ever an authentic front, it’s a lot more like guys just driving and flying along willy nilly trying to score frags. Whereas in CS at least you all spawn together like a team, and there aren’t bombs pouring down rain from the sky when you do. CS 1. 6 is now available through Valve’s new Sauna content delivery system.

  1. The CS 1. 6 Sauna Installer includes the latest versions of both Sauna and counter strike 1.6 free download. It is free of charge to existing Half Life and Counter Strike players. There are download locations 379 MB on the official Sauna site. But what if you don’t want Sauna? That’s not really an option going forward with respect to games from Valve, as they mean to integrate it into all of their releases. On the bright side, it should automate patching and make cheating much more difficult. Objectives are a big part of Counter Strike, and teamwork is the best way to achieve those objectives, so the Rambo like solitary wrecklessness of many earlier fps is a lot less common.
  2. Earlier mods had objectives, but none were quite as well fitted to the theme as the ones in CS, where you are not capturing some esoteric flag, but planting bombs and rescuing hostages. Few games can equal the excitement of a CS match that precipitates to the last Counter Terrorist defusing the blast with only seconds to spare. It could be suggested that every multiplayer FPS since Team Fortress has involved some sort of teamwork.
  3. The difference is that teamwork is central to CS, rather than being a rarely realized possibility.
  4. The main reason for this is that you spawn with the rest of your team selecting some spawn point opposed to this of the map is not an option.

The character of the objectives and the layout of the maps contribute to the requirement for teamwork, and in practice, the more organized team almost always comes out ahead. Balance Having just turned five yoa, Counter Strike has had a lot of time to mature, the whole thing filled with robust community feedback.

By the time version 1. 5 was released in August of 2002, CS was not only extremely refined, but boasted several features, such as radio requires and voice communication, which we are only realizing in current games. While certain tools, such as the Arctic Rivalry Magnum, will likely always be a matter of contention among CS players, balancing a few different types of guns is inherently easier than balancing tanks, aircraft, and boats right along with foot members of the military.

In fact, if a guy in a aircraft doesn’t have an advantage over the average rifleman, realism suffers. It may be a product of the more limited PC technology of half a decade ago, but the simplicity of the terrorist theme in CS was a natural fit for a first person present shooter. The latest games which feature vehicles and all sorts of advanced guns makes it fairly difficult to get into a reasonable fight. Maps Fortunately, good quality map makers got behind CS and made some nicely balanced maps for the game early in its development, particularly for blast defuse scenarios.
